Education, exchanges and cooperation with Honduras

For many years, a close cooperative relationship has existed between Institute of Cardiology and Hospital Cemesa in Honduras. Recently, both entities formalized an international cooperation agreement for the purpose of carrying out medical education and training exchange programs.

These programs are focused on initiatives related to patient care, quality and the continuing implementation of technology.

The delegation from Hospital Cemesa that visited Institute of Cardiology-Children's Heart Fundation included Dr. José Samara, President of the hospital’s Board of Directors, and Dr. Francisco Somoza, Interventional Cardiologist, who had previously visited the Institution.

The purpose of this new agreement is to position the Institute of Cardiology as a reference center for highly complex cases, mainly in the cardiovascular line for Latin America.
