Institute of Cardiology, Member of the PLANETREE global network

The Institute of Cardiology, one of the ten most important medical centers in Latin America, became a member of the international network of more than 500 hospitals around the world that are part of Planetree, a leader in the accreditation of patient care quality, program development and counseling for this type of hospital administration.

Since 1978, Planetree has worked with public and private health centers in Asia, Australia, Europe, and North and South America, supporting their efforts to promote and consolidate the excellent, close and human service of patients and users.

In hopes of obtaining this accreditation distinction, the Institute of Cardiology Cardioinfantil Foundation, will receive periodic visits from consultants, as well as support from Planetree’s central offices in the United States and regional office in Chile.

This year, it will participate in an intensive program for the purpose of obtaining accreditation, and upon doing so, it will become the second institution in Latin America to have this designation.
