International accreditation is granted to Fundación Cardioinfantil

Fundación Cardioinfantil – Instituto de Cardiología has received one of the most important recognitions for the quality of its patient care services from the JOINT COMMISSION INTERNATIONAL. It is the third institution in Colombia to have received this recognition for the implementation of strategies for optimizing the experience of patients and their families.

Thanks to its commitment to the hearts of Colombians, our Fundación Cardioinfantil – Instituto de Cardiología has, for the first time, received the Joint Commission’s International Accreditation for Hospitals, granted by the American organization, whose main objective is to improve the quality and safety of patient care in all clinical and administrative functions.

“Having been granted the International Accreditation for Hospitals by the Joint Commission International is a great achievement for our institution, as we were evaluated by the world’s leading health care accreditation organization, something that fills us with pride and satisfaction as we complete 40 years of work in our country”, affirmed Santiago Cabrera González, Executive Director of the Foundation.

This distinction coincides with the designation of Fundación Cardioinfantil as the sixth best hospital in Latin America, according to América Economía Magazine, after moving up two places in the general ranking of 45 health centers. These actions ratify the good service that the Foundation provides to its patients, with quality, efficiency, ethics and, above all, the development of social programs serving as the pillars for the application of patient care and administrative processes, based on a culture of service and continuous improvement.
